Well, Today was an exception, since the bus driver was all the way cribbing-shouting at ppl for standing near the entrance- honking every inch he moved the wheels...well, he was irritated ( while rest of them in bus were too) and rude to commuters maybe he did not like what he was doing or his job. This is output; when you don’t like or enjoy what you doing, which becomes very difficult to handle it everyday in such cases. Yes, driving in Bangalore roads is not a pleasant job; but this is daily bread winner which he has no option but to take it in a optimistic psyche…..
I was standing next to him, unable to endure the continuous honking (even in a traffic jam and signals, where u have no choice) and very politely asked him not to honk at times, when it’s not required. He obviously and as expected, told me its not like sitting in big offices in AC and have a hot cuppa delivered to your desk, its driving in Bangalore roads & only drivers know what a JOB it is and having to do multiple trips in never ending jams…..Blah..Blah…

( It was not Embarrassing to me, since my experience in handling ppl and able to foresee things in times of irritation came handy to understand his outburst). I felt, I gave way for him to let loose his frustration-disappointment, which was “in good health” since it made him surprisingly feel less burdened and control his honking J Thanks to him, the crowded bus was able to hear to the lovely kannada song playing from FM; than the honking now!
I thanked him, before getting down from the bus, again startlingly few more in the bus joined me to thank him for taking it in a positive way! I walk back to office, feeling good about traveling in a VOLVO!
Monday blues are back ( No, am not cribbing about my job) and today one of my agenda is to stuff my desk with goodies!!! Yipppeee am going to love this and then continue with my reading on service levels, minutes of meet, transition plans….etc..etc…Happy MonDAY TO all!!!!
