Frustrating....

The TITLE of the post; reflects my current state of mind.......Need to flush those unwanted things from mind...

Watched "27 Dresses" in the morning, a very light - lovely movie, the flow .....

Jane never says "NO" to her friends, so selfless and that made me sit up and watch the movie....
This lady is secretly in love with her boss, who in turn dates Jane's sister and decides to marry her and worse is Jane is asked to plan the wedding......
Story unfolds with some twists, realization of "always-a-bridesmaid" lifestyle and how she overcomes to stop pleasing others and say No and think about her happiness!!!!!

In the midst, its those lovely wedding clothes which keeps it more interesting....

Katherine Heigl is beautiful.....

Before I switch off....something I read, which will be here on record for me....

Vacation @ HoMe

Happy Republic Day!!!!

The national parade down raj path in Delhi amidst the dense fog, cultural events, most awaited “Mile sur mera tumhara” album, the tight security all over the country, The National Anthem, the prestigious Padma awards, Bravery awards, patriotic movies in all channels and the National holiday.....is my scrutiny of this day....Somehow it manages to bring out the sensation of patriotism in me and enjoy the aftersaid with utmost interest, making this day unconventional!!!

Am back from my 4 day vacation from mom’s house and did not want to extend it since hubby will be at home and would not like to miss a chance to spend the holiday with him!!! So what if he is at home???? he will anyways begin his morning with coffee in Brahmin’s with his friends and will be out for some other labour during the day, t
hen the usual lunch and his usual most awaited noon nap, making no difference to me and go back to my usual DVDs and Notepad.....

No grumble, since Its the republic day events at television today; which is keeping me in mood and not to Rant about the routine. It’s the FIRST time ever, I have shown such keen interest to watch some parts of the LIVE event from Delhi and the making of Mile sur ( Result is am quite dissapointed and prefer the old Mile sur).

Will be attending another Reception this evening and highlight seems to be music by Shashidar kote. So hoping to have some nice music filled evening, apart from watching those lovely clothes and accessories and all the jazz that comes as a package, admitting shamelessly ....Last week,in such a similar gathering; loved one of the ear-rings ( Gold Jumka’s) worn by some lady and I did walk up to her and flushed out the compliments till she went red , but seems like I wanna get them for myself now...When I spoke to Hubby, he never even responded ( Hmmm....)

Some Highlights from my vacation ......

Attended “Madhwa Navami “ function at the temple performed by this specific community and surprisingly loved it for the arrangements and food....The dance and drums came as a pleasant revelation and loved the small dance we women had to do as a part of the custom...I danced with mom for the first time and will cherish it forever!!!! (Dance in the sense, small steps holding hands and swinging....)

I really fought with sissy on so many issues, which gave a after - feeling of being so Normal....we even exchanged clothes, just like those days in college...
All 4 of us freaked out last Friday in those lanes, where we spent out childhood...I was a small girl, enjoying every min of my outing.... Discovered heaps of Veggies near home, which are bought everyday from Magdi FrEsH , a Beauty. I love the sight of vegetables, staring them can bring such an excitment......

These Lovely VeGgIeS....

Fear.....

Oh boy… We Humans always live In “FEAR”…what say?

Well some might disagree, but this is a very practical observation from my side…..
Fear of Living healthy/wealthy….Fear of fulfilling wants…Fear of rejection from fiends and family…Fear of venturing into new things…Fear to changes….Fear on First day, first things…Fear of marriage and everything that comes as a package with it….Fear of having kids…Fear to Decide……Fear to question…Fear to say NO….Fear of society….Fear of injustice….. Can go on and on…. but that scrap of Fear subsist in whatever we decide and action…

Now, what’s the FEAR our B’wood ladies had, that they never bid for the Pakistani players for their IPL baby? Am not great at judging the Cricket players or the game, but have had the “finest” times watching India&Pak play Cricket. Nothing can match the excitement, which these two teams fetch us. I have always had this unusual shoot in my belly and mind, when anything took place- say Music, movies, games, the new AD in Television, say whatever b/w these two countries…It’s the Curiosity and the hype that’s generated in our minds from the day we are born, that takes it to this level of snooping and smoldering…Isnt it???? I like few players from Pak side and would have been nice to see them Mix & match as One team..
Am quite surprised and shocked; the reason behind not bidding for any of the Pak players for the IPL and also those fantasy money (fantasy for ME) flown like water to Hire a performer for the team. Goodness, is it REAL money????

(WISH-WISH, I could get a fraction of it, to fulfill my NEEDS currently…)
Fun starts for me, when the IPL starts…. wonder how much the HIKE is for the cheerleaders this time….

Back to my life…. Sissy and myself have finally planned our short 4-day vacation at parent’s place…Yes Its exciting and am hauling my camera to capture some of our childhood stints which am hoping to experience…. We have planned for a movie, dinner and temple visit all scattered for 3 days, and loads of Lazy talk with amma…. Overall a plan to bring lot of action to our parents Life with our presence….

My colleague and very good friend; delivered a baby girl few minutes back and am happy – twofold happy since most of my friends have Baby boys and its pleasant for a change…

Up's and Down's......Life moves on

I can’t choose to re-locate nor can I continue working here; cos of no operations abiding, so am quitting…It was a dream profile, it was great experience, It gave all I asked for and am saying good-bye so soon. I have just gone BLANK from last one week, and the feel continues and reflects my last post...
Lot of actions, which are not outta choice, but have been thrown at me and conflicting ideas to make the best out of it…I spoke and shared with family and friends and most important to hubby on how unsuspecting I was for this change. It’s the biggest challenge am facing on how to GO ABOUT THIS????

Hubby says I love to SULK and just need a reason, but this is BIG enough a one to be worrying for me. But with no slip-up from my side, I need to be facing this than sitting and writing this crap…WHATEVER!!!! My Career is definitely my priority and ........

Well, apart from this I have rest of things happening in life…

I starved for Grahana (On the day of ECLIPES) out of fear and ate like a true Brahmin in the evening. I have been watching movies, which are quite Crazy…One was about Cancer, while the rest 2 on Terrorism. I did like KURBAAN and not sure why it flopped. Yes, loads of similarities on these series of B’wood movies released on the same subject in recent times, but this is still nice. Am quite biased for Karina’s movies maybe!
And…………shopping is something I have kept away from me…and am surviving…

We got a lovely surprise from our SM frens.
They have clicked some of Hubby and me during our new yr vacation together and which are beautifully natural (Unknown to us). They have framed it up and gifted us. “AMAZING”…is just not the WORD…am so touched and they mean lots to us. Its LOVELY-LOVELY surprise…am yet to find the place to hang it up at home....... this will make me laugh for years now and memories of this trip cherished forever…Something totally unexpected but so beautiful…Thanks SMs, loved it again

SuNdAy TOMORROW and Am looking forward for 2 things tomorrow…
1) Lunch at mom’s house…It’s the saaru anna which I want to relish.
2) To dress up for the reception am attending in the evening…They are not well known to me, but my DIL’s cousin’s son’s wedding..But I have a reason to DRESS up baby!!!

Women never change uhhh???

CHANGES - to accept or not?

It’s already a week, we stepped into 2010!!!

So, “How’s it been” was the question I asked myself, demanding to do something interesting since am back home early from work……while the answer is wandering inside the brain cells, I changed the template of the Blog….I don’t like this Green background nor the color combo, but just changed for the “CHANGE”….

Last year was exigent for me in terms of the CHANGES I welcomed and less feared as I travelled through…I was quite confident I will be in a bed of roses this year, since I was convinced last year “NEW” phase of those list of things will be this year’s comfort zone for me ….As I step into the 2nd week of 2010, I already see one of the big thing hitting me. This is something really unpredicted and didn’t want to face something so early for the year……At times, no matter how much we plan and start to loosen up, by the time you try to breathe a sigh of relief, you are hit hard to wake up and take a priority on the crisis…..and this time am not ready, but will be forced to take pace. The temper is quite unhappy…I wanted to CRY uncontrollably today and did manage to silently this noon; as I shamelessly write this and find this my only fast solution to letting my stress pass …
There goes my well planned part of life ( am Exaggerating!), overturned my dreams and am back to the GROUND level…..It will take double my energy, confidence, strength, time and whatever to start off…..

This was the only means, I thought of releasing my trauma for the day…sometimes, it so nice to wake up and let go of it thinking as a nightmare!!!!
Anyways, maybe this is what is called Life..take what comes your way.

FOOD AGAIN.....
I had Rajasthani food last evening for dinner at “Pyaas”, a new joint very close to the place I live. After much debate on the place to dine, I had almost lost my hunger…
Nice food and sorrowfully I can’t recall the names of the never ending delicacies they charged our plates…The ambience is just OK and the people who serve need some training and time management. They are friendly and sure with the feedback, they can pick up and make this quite happening place to dine. If you don’t like overloading yourself with lot of ghee and Oil, please avoid this place….

BTW, anyone has a better solution to answer, when someone asks how much you earn?
I might earn peanuts or great or whatever buddy; Its just that am hesitant to reveal to people whom I don't want to...Its not only about SALARY, its basically the personal questions, when you are "not so close" to the person. Asking for the sake of curiosity and joy of judging them is not right. Anyways.......no more to write in this frame of mind...

Time to take a deep breath.....

All PLaY n No WORk....This is how I welcomed 2010!!!

I could not get a WINK of sleep on 30th Night, since the travel excitement kept mounting as I counted every min that passed…This is the first time ever, I was celebrating my new year’s in the Midst of few friend’s and delimited by the second highest hill in Karnataka – JENKAL!!!!!

Luxuriant emerald patch, hill locks, lovely mountain and slopes, coffee estate, waking up next to hubby, frens basking around ordering their first cup of tea without even brushing the teeth; is the first sight of Jan 01st and this is how I welcomed my 2010!!!! What more can I ask for? Lemme start my New Year story……

We were at Jenkal (Sakleshpur) a small private estate, surrounded by JENKAL hills and river Hemavathi. This place is situated at the Malnad region of Karnataka in the Western Ghats; very green town with coffee plantations and forest surrounding it.

It was the last day of 2009; day began with travelling to Jenkal and not a minute to rest until mid-night. NINE of us set out in 2 Skoda’s, cherishing the lovely sun-rise on the nice road. The drive was a beauty, turned into an adventure when Vyshi almost raced with the BMW in front of him (our love) and almost banged ( but missed) into it at one junction…..Thanks to the so called “breaking system” ….whowww, else It could have been dramatic and Life long labor, if the two cars collided, but fortunately the beauty took a different route post Hassan…Loved the perspiration the owner of BMW went through and also that of my hubby who was sweating cos of the speed…..Vijay and myself enjoyed painstakingly…Cheers to Vyshi and BMW for making the journey so memorable for us!

None of us wanted to relax after reaching the estate….The day was filled with actions (call that tricks), exploring the house, never realizing how hasty every hour passed. Be it talking non-stop and pulling each other’s leg to playing i-spy / hide & seek ( Is this how it spelled?) to playing monopoly to dumb charades…We even wanted to play bum-charades, but time fell short….It was effortless games, with boundless fun and ingenuity raising the bar with every game and move. Can anyone think of i-spy as a game at this age? We had ultimate fun, fooling each other and trying to find every corner in the estate to hide and planning ways to fool the person…. At one instance, Hubby and Vyshi exchanged their tee's to fool Sriks, since he mistook the identity from far and got “out” again and it turned out to be a Huge HIT!!!! Am laughing while I write, re-calling the experience…..

It was that day of the year, I name it as the “HANDPICKED”, since I played like a little girl non-stop letting my hair down, screamed, jumped and danced with hubby in front campfire adding to the romance and welcomed 2010…..We cheered as we entered early hours of 2010….This is my first instance of “counting my blessing” for THE year!!!

***Without the sound of Alarm or any clatter, I woke up with ease and freshness on 01st morning…I walked till the door to be welcomed/mystified by that rich patch of greenery, jumped in craze with this beauty which you get to sense only at this hour in the morning….It was a long lazy morning with the Gang, with no one geared up to take a bath and ordering tea non-stop….At times, to sundry from the routine can give you loads of that rejuvenation is all I can bet on!!!! Get away from here for once is all MY Gyaan for the day..

Trek to an old temple and another hill next to Jenkal was the best stored for the evening. The beauty multiplied in the evening, a short trek to a temple which was 1500 yrs old and a beautiful hill surrounding it. Only Putta managed to hit the hill top, while myself, hubby and Vijay took some pics from halfway; post lost in our own individual world…the couple romanced in the midst of lovely green spread ( what a place for it babyee). It was hardly strenuous, while we never got bored of the walk. The drink was the pure mountain water flow, which drained away our strain later, getting geared for the fun filled evening near the campfire. The fun repeated, games unfolded in different way, with lovely memories hugging us while we hit the bed..

Am more in love with Green and nature, promising to make more such trips to recreate myself…It’s my way to de-hassle and have fun; nothing can contest this beauty for sure and forever…

So; it was all PLAY n NO WORK on the first day of the year for nine of us!!!How was it at your end????

Wishing all of you a Great 2010 journey!!!!

As soon as we hit Bengalooru, It was the first weekend of 2010 and Hubby’s Birthday on 03rd…so more celebration, as we wished him, visited temple, collected gift cheque from daddy’s ( I got one too…henge!) and good food. It was more o

f a peace

ful day since we mutually decided not to party….The hangover will continue until next weekend and the party begins!!!
